Job summary

Pure Staff Driving is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Day Driver to join a palletised distribution client in Gloucester. You will deliver and collect palletised freight while upholding high standards of customer service and professionalism.

Shift pattern is Monday to Friday, starting at 07:00 with typical shifts between 8 and 12 hours. Ongoing work with optional overtime; permanent opportunities may arise for successful drivers.

Qualifications

• Category C (Class 2) driving licence is required.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of Driver Hours regulations.
• Previous multi-drop driving experience desirable.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties.
• Professional and reliable attitude.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting palletised goods to commercial customers.
• Completing 5-10 deliveries and collections per shift.
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time.
• Securing loads correctly and adhering to all transport legislation.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Communicating with the transport office throughout the day.
• Providing a professional level of customer service.
• Carrying out handball when required.
• Maintaining compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
