Job summary

AMP Hire Limited on the Isle of Wight is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 driver to undertake tankering and driving duties across local deliveries and collections. You will carry out vehicle checks, ensure safe loading and securing of goods, and provide a friendly, professional service to customers.

The role requires adherence to drivers' hours and working-time regulations, with occasional yard duties and festival/event deliveries as required. Weekend work on a rota basis is included.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 driving experience required

• Safely operating an HGV Class 2 vehicle in accordance with all relevant legislation.
• Driving different types of HGV class 2 vehicles.
• Completing local deliveries and collections across the Isle of Wight.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly.
• Ensuring goods are loaded, secured and transported safely.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
• Working efficiently while adhering to drivers' hours and working-time regulations.
• Help in the yard with the team when required.
• Helping with delivery’s when required will include towing trailers working at festivals and events as required.
• Weekend working on a rota bases.
