Job summary

Great Bear is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our transport operation in the UK. You will deliver goods, maintain high customer service standards, and comply with company and legal requirements. This role suits someone who enjoys driving larger vehicles and working independently.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, with all bank holidays off. Typical hours range 05:45–15:45, with 10-hour shifts and some flexibility based on routes. Weekly hours total 50.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence – Category C (Class 2).
• Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 / multi-drop experience preferred (training can be provided).
• Good knowledge of local and regional road networks.
• Ability to handle and lift goods safely.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A positive, reliable, and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect tyres, 7 to 13 drops per route.
• Safely load, secure, and transport goods.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Deliver excellent customer service at every drop.
• Ensure tachograph/WTD regulations and road laws compliance.
• Communicate delays or issues with the transport team.

We are currently seeking a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our transport operation, delivering goods on behalf ofour customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring full compliance with company and legal requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys driving larger vehicles and working independently.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday day shifts with no bank holiday working, so you'll have all bank holidays off.

Hours: Start and finish times typically fall between 05:45 and 15:45, with some flexibility required depending on operational needs. Shifts are generally 10 hours long, subject to delivery routes.

Weekly Hours: 50 hours per week

Pay: Annual salary £38749.10

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver and collect Michelin tyres drops can vary between 7 to 13.
