Job summary

Blackpointrecruitment in Dewsbury is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a dedicated waste collection team on-going work. You will drive dustcarts, assist loaders and ensure safe, timely waste collection across planned routes.

Hours include an average 48 hours per week with a local start time around 4:00am, Monday to Friday, with flexibility. Immediate starts, regular weekly pay, and potential for long-term or temp-to-perm roles are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum 6 months experience preferred.
• Good understanding of UK driving regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and operate dustcarts.
• Input all data into the onboard system and submit paperwork daily.
• Perform daily vehicle checks per driver operator handbook.
• Comply with traffic laws and manage load weights safely.

Job description

We are currently recruiting aHGV Class 2 Driver to join their dedicated team in Dewsbury for on-going work. Immediate start available with consistent hours. You will be working on dustcarts, you’ll play a key role in ensuring waste is collected and disposed of efficiently and responsibly while contributing to their ongoing success.

Hours: Average 48 hours per week, Local agreed start time 4:00am Monday to Friday however must be flexible

What will you’ll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple commercial waste containers.
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including and weight of loads
  

Job description

Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles, primarily dustcarts, for waste collection.

Work closely with a team of loaders to complete scheduled routes.

Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and road regulations.

Provide excellent customer service to the public when required.
