Qualifications

• Good geographical knowledge of UK roads.

The recruitment group is working with a well-established logistics company who are recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers in the Worksop area.

Drivers will be required to work varied hours which include day and night shifts and occasional weekend work. Routes will vary daily and therefore the successful applicant will need to be flexible in work and hours of work including short notice.

Main duties and responsibilities of the HGV Class 2 Driver role:

• Planning delivery routes to ensure optimum efficiency
• Ensuring all goods to be transports are safe and secure
• Supervision of loading and unloading of goods
• Coordination of deliveries and communication with customers regarding pick-ups and drop offs
• Conducting regular ‘walk around’ inspections to ensure regulation compliance
• Vehicle maintenance to ensure the vehicle is road-worthy
• Communicating with customers and answering questions in a polite manner

Experience/knowledge requirements for the HGV Class 2 Driver role:

• 1 year experience preferred
• Good geographical knowledge of UK roads
• Good communication
• Great organisation
• Mechanical maintenance skills
• Ability to work alone

Qualification requirements for the HGV Class 2 Driver role:

• Must hold a valid Class 2 licence (maximum 6 points)
• Must hold a valid CPC and Digi-Tacho card
