Job summary

Workchain is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver for a temporary daytime role in Hereford. Carry out multi-drop deliveries, perform vehicle checks, and ensure safe, compliant transport of goods. Opportunity for permanent employment with overtime available.

The role offers regular daytime work, with pay £16–£17 per hour and a minimum of 8 hours paid per shift. Hereford area, immediate start for suitable drivers.

Qualifications

• must hold valid HGV Class 2 licence and Driver CPC.
• tachograph card must be current.
• good knowledge of UK roads and safe driving practices.
• reliable, punctual and responsible.
• good communication and customer service skills.
• physically able to assist with loading/unloading when required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-drop and planned delivery work safely and professionally.
• Complete vehicle checks before, during and after each shift.
• Load, secure and transport goods in line with legal and operational requirements.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts.
• Report any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptly.
• Follow company, transport and health and safety procedures.

A logistics business is looking for an HGV Class 2 Driver to support its transport operations in the Hereford area. This temporary daytime role offers regular work, overtime opportunities and the potential to move into permanent employment.

About the company

A Worcestershire-based logistics business providing freight transport, warehousing, storage and distribution services. Its operations include general haulage, food and ambient goods distribution, container handling and abnormal-load transport. The business also provides waste storage and transportation services and operates dedicated workshop facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out multi-drop and planned delivery work safely and professionally
• Complete vehicle checks before, during and after each shift
