Job summary

Platinum People Recruitment Ltd is recruiting 5 x HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client in Wetherby. You will manually deliver kegs to store rooms and cellars across pubs, bars, restaurants and similar venues, with pre-loaded vehicles and routes planned ahead.

Shifts are Monday to Friday starting at 06:00, with an average 8–10 hour day and 12–14 drops per shift. A full induction including manual handling training is provided, with a temp-to-perm opportunity after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Cat C) held and up to date.
• Solid knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to perform loading/unloading tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Manual delivery of kegs to pubs, bars, restaurants and other venues.
• Operate in 2-person delivery teams with a driver’s mate.
• Follow pre-planned routes with early 06:00 start Mon–Fri.
• Induction and manual handling training provided (paid after 2 weeks).

Job description

Platinum People are recruiting for 5 x HGV Class 2 Driver at our client in Wetherby.

Duties HGV Class 2 Driver:

• Manual delivery of kegs to store rooms/cellars of pubs, bars, restaurants, casinos etc
• All vehicles are pre loaded and routes pre planned, 2 man delivery teams with a drivers mate for assistance
• Monday-Friday shift pattern 06:00 start
• Average 12-14 drops daily with average shift length between 8-10 hours
• Full induction including manual handling training given (paid after 2 weeks)
• Temp to perm role after 12 weeks

Pay HGV Class 2 Driver:

• £18.54 - Monday-Friday - Including holiday pay
• Temp to perm after 12 weeks

Requirements HGV Class 2 Driver:

• Valid driving licence cat C
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
