Job summary

Uniserve, a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider, is seeking a dedicated HGV Class 2 Driver to join the team in Tilbury. You will contribute to timely and secure deliveries to customers.

Salary: £35,700 per year with a performance‑related bonus of up to £2,000 annually. Benefits include pension, eye tests, and on‑site EV charging points. The role covers vehicle checks, defect reporting, loading/unloading, and on‑site duties when not driving.

Qualifications

• Experience driving multi‑drop routes.
• Valid HGV/LGV Class 2 licence (minimum 1 year).
• DCPC card required.
• Digital tachograph card required.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Previous commercial driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily vehicle checks in line with procedures to ensure roadworthiness.
• Report vehicle defects immediately following company protocols.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Report customer complaints promptly to the Transport team.
• Ensure compliance with current EU road transport regulations.
• Secure freight safely and avoid overloading.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete daily vehicle checks in line with company procedures to ensure roadworthiness
• Report vehicle defects immediately, following company protocols
• Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles
• Report customer complaints promptly to the Transport team
• Ensure compliance with all current EU road transport regulations
• Secure freight safely for transit and avoid overloading by weight or capacity
• Carry out additional on‑site duties when not driving

Key Skills & Experience:

• Multi‑drop experience
• Valid HGV/LGV Class 2 licence (minimum 1 year)
• Valid DCPC card
• Digital tachograph card
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Previous commercial driving experience
