Uniserve is seeking a motivated HGV Class 1 Driver in Rugby. You will ensure safe, compliant transport of goods, shunting from customer to depot on LST trailers with full training provided. The role operates on a 4 on, 4 off night shift, with start times around 10:00 and 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV LGV Class 1 licence.
• Must hold a valid Driver CPC (DCPC) card.
• Must have a Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle checks to guarantee roadworthiness.
• Report vehicle defects promptly following procedures.
• Assist with loading/unloading of company vehicles.
• Communicate customer complaints to Transport team promptly.
• Adhere to EU road transport regulations.
• Ensure freight is loaded within weight/capacity limits.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional appearance.

The Vacancy

We're currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our growing team in Rugby. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with all regulations and providing a top-tier service to our valued customers.

Location will be Rugbywhere you will be expectedto shunt from customerto depot on LST trailersfull training will be given.

Shift pattern– 4 on 4 off Night Shift so some Weekend work will be required.

Start time 10am 12 Hour shifts

Salary- £40,000 per anum

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily vehicle checks in accordance with company procedures to guarantee roadworthiness.


• Report any vehicle defects immediately and accurately following company protocol.


• Assist with the loading and unloading of company vehicles.


• Communicate any customer complaints to the Transport team promptly.


• Adhere to all current EU road transport regulations.


• Ensure freight is securely loaded and within weight and capacity limits.


• Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the vehicle.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Valid HGV LGV Class 1 licence.


• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card).


• Digital Tachograph card.


• No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.


• Proven commercial driving experience.


• Ability to report customer complaints and vehicle defects accurately and efficiently, following company procedures.
