Job summary

Pertemps Stoke on Trent is actively recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a depot team serving stores across the Midlands and North of England. The role involves delivering food products with cages, using tail lifts, and completing 6–8 drops per shift with long 10–13 hour days.

This ongoing temporary work offers regular shifts, PAYE rates, and holiday pay accrued separately. Training and induction are provided, with multiple start times and patterns.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months' recent HGV driving experience.
• Maximum 6 points – minor offences only.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering fresh, ambient and frozen food products to stores.
• Deliveries made using cages.
• Tail lifts provided for unloading.
• Around 6–8 drops per shift, depending on route and load.
• Typical shifts are 10–13 hours.
• Various start times and shift patterns available.
• Monday to Saturday working.

Pertemps are currently recruiting Class 2 Drivers to join the team at one of their busy Stoke-on-Trent depots, delivering food and grocery products to stores across the Midlands and North of England.

ONGOING WORK | REGULAR SHIFTS | GREAT PAY RATES

Pay Rates for this Class 2 / HGV 2 / LGV 2:

• Days: £17.89 per hour
• Nights: £19.98 per hour
• Weekends: £20.05 per hour
• Overtime after 48 hours: Up to £27.46 per hour
