Driver Position at D&G Distribution

Responsibilities:

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centres.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns; perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods, miles driven, and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) and company policies.
• Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.

Qualifications:

• Class A CDL with air/trucks endorsement (candidates without a CDL will also be considered).
• Minimum of 2 years truck driving experience.
• Ability to drive long hours and work overtime.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Proven ability to handle a truck, drive a lift, and be detail-oriented.
• Experience with fuel surcharges and bill pay.
• Prior loading/unloading experience with Class B or higher license required.
