Job Title: Class 2 HGV Driver

Little Bill Laundry, part of Imperial London Hotels, is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team based in Leyton and Edmonton. The role involves daily travel into Central London Bloomsbury.

Location

Leyton, E10 7QE and Edmonton, N18 2HE

Working Hours

40 hours per week, on a 5/7 rota, with working hours from 05:45 to 14:30, including rotational weekend shifts.

Our laundry service provides washing and linen rental for Imperial London Hotels and other hotel brands across central London. We are a family-run business with over 113 years of experience, committed to sustainability through investment in machinery and CNG vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload laundry cages, boxes, and delivery items into designated areas.
• Drive in accordance with the Highway Code and Road Traffic Act.
• Maintain vehicle security and conduct daily safety checks, reporting issues to the line manager.
• Ensure both lorry body and cabin are cleaned daily.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately.
• Build and maintain good customer relations, acting as a liaison between customer and company.
• Present a professional image of Imperial London Hotels at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Full UK Class C Driving Licence, Digital Tacho, and Driver CPC.
• Previous experience driving in central London is desirable.
• Good understanding of drivers' hours, regulations, and working time directives.
• Effective communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Self-motivated, well-presented, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
