Job summary

MAGMAS in Newent, Gloucestershire invites applications for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy logistics team. This role offers a guaranteed 45-hour contract with Monday to Friday work and an annual salary of £35,100, with overtime paid at 1.33x after 45 hours.

You will handle deliveries across England, including loading/unloading, maintaining vehicle standards, and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Licence and Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card holder is required.
• Comfortable with early starts and 5–10 drops per day.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles (up to 18 tonnes) across England.
• Perform multi-drop deliveries and load/unload safely.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness and paperwork accuracy.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Occasional overnight stays; overtime paid after 45 hours.

HGV Class 2 Driver wanted in Newent, Gloucestershire, £35,100 per annum + Overtime working Monday to Friday on a guaranteed 45-hour contract. Early starts from 03:00 onwards with overtime available and paid at x1.33 after 45 hours per week. Looking for your next driving role? Your Duties

• Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles (up to 18 tonnes) as part of a busy delivery fleet
• Flexibility to drive 7.5 tonne lorries and 3.5 tonne vans on a rotational basis
• Multi-drop deliveries to customers across England (typically 5-10 drops per day)
• Loading and unloading products safely and efficiently
• Providing excellent customer service at all delivery locations
• Completing all delivery paperwork accurately
• Ensuring vehicles are kept clean, compliant, and roadworthy
• Occasional overnight stays away from home when required

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Licence
• Current Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card

Experience Driving Vehicles Up To 18 Tonnes Preferred

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
• Good knowledge of England's motorway network
• Comfortable with early morning starts from 03:00 onwards
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
• Own transport required due to location at Newent Business Park
