Driver Hire Manchester South is seeking skilled HGV Class 2 drivers to join our client's delivery team!

Monday to Friday with optional Saturday work at a higher rate. We seek individuals passionate about delivering excellent customer service. The role involves delivering products for a leading retailer to private households, crucial for our business success and representing the client daily.

HGV Class 2 Driver - Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide a professional, high-quality driving experience that exceeds customer expectations.
• Ensure Prompt and Safe Delivery: Guarantee on-time, perfect-condition deliveries.
• Customer Engagement: Build rapport and handle questions professionally, in person or over the phone.
• Room-to-Room Delivery: Safely deliver items to the customer's room of choice, handling each with care.
• Documentation Accuracy: Complete all paperwork accurately, complying with requirements.
• Health & Safety Commitment: Conduct risk assessments, follow safety practices, and report incidents promptly.
• Regulatory Compliance: Follow all driving and working time regulations.
• Continuous Development: Attend relevant training for skill enhancement.

Experience & Qualifications

• Valid Licensing: In-date, valid Class 2 licence, CPC, and Digi Card.
• Good Driving Record: No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Professional Presentation: Smart appearance and excellent customer service skills.
• Flexibility & Punctuality: Reliable and adaptable to shifts and duties.
• Time-Critical Service: Efficient, on-time delivery meeting targets.
• Experience Behind the Wheel: Retail or commercial driving experience preferred; multi-drop experience advantageous.
• Physical Capability: Ability to handle heavy, bulky items as part of a two-person team.

We provide honest, personal service, dealing directly with the business owner. Guaranteed pay for 8 hours daily, minimum of £14.40/hour (£16.15/hour with holiday pay), plus overtime, paid weekly via PAYE.
