Job summary

Driver Hire Edinburgh West is seeking experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to join its flexible driving opportunities across West Lothian. These roles suit drivers with other commitments, offering a variety of work across sectors and vehicles.

You will handle multi-drop deliveries, adhere to regulations, and maintain daily vehicle checks. A valid Class 2 licence, CPC, tachograph card, and good knowledge of transport rules are required.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum of 1 year's Class 2 driving experience.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
• No IN, DD, DR, or CD endorsements.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and transport legislation.
• Professional, dependable, and flexible attitude.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop and single-drop deliveries and collections (including steel, office furniture, food & drink, and construction materials).
• A-B vehicle movements
• General haulage and pallet network work
• Loading and unloading as required
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks

Driver Hire Edinburgh West is looking for experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to work with a range of clients across West Lothian.

These flexible opportunities are well suited to drivers looking for work around other commitments, while gaining experience across a variety of industries, vehicles, and assignments.

Pay Rates

• PAYE Basic: £14.50 per hour (holiday pay accrued)
• PAYE Advanced: £16.25 per hour
