Job summary

Booker Group, part of Tesco plc, is seeking a delivery driver to join our local driving team in Liverpool. You will be loading stock at the branch, delivering to customer premises, and ensuring paperwork is completed accurately. This is a full-time, 45-hour week with an Any 5 from 7 pattern, including weekends.

You will need a CatC / 18T licence and at least two years of driving experience, plus strong interpersonal and numeracy skills to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• CatC / 18T Licence is required for the role.
• Previous driving experience of at least two years is preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries and load/unload goods.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy to complete paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Drive locally and deliver to customers on time.
• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Build relationships with regular customers and provide great service.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Work 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 shift pattern, including some weekends.

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

• CatC / 18T Licence
• Previous experience of driving (at least two years)
• Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
