Job summary

Booker Group plc in Leeds is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our delivery team. You will drive locally, build relationships with regular customers, and work a 45-hour week on an Any 5 from 7 pattern, with some weekend shifts. Overtime and CPC training hours are provided.

You will be loading stock, ensuring accurate paperwork, and helping keep shelves stocked to support customers with reliable, friendly service.

Qualifications

• Cat C / 18T licence is required.
• Two years driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Good literacy and numeracy required.

Responsibilities

• Keep customers' shelves stocked with necessary products.
• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Complete paperwork accurately.

About the role

The working pattern is Monday to Friday. Overtime opportunities also available. Fully funded CPC training hours provided.

Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an Any 5 from 7 contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

• Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers.
• You'll be loading stock into the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises.
• You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need Cat C / 18T Licence.

Previous experience of driving (at least two years). Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred. Ability to carry out manual deliveries. Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude. Good level of literacy and numeracy.
