Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team in the food distribution sector. As a key part of our supply chain, you will ensure the timely and safe delivery of food products to retail outlets, restaurants, or distribution centres, maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.

The Successful Applicant

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle for multi-drop deliveries of chilled, frozen, or ambient food products.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring correct handling and storage procedures (especially for temperature-sensitive items).
• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic records (PODs, manifests).
• Comply with all DVSA regulations and Working Time Directive rules.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and company health & safety protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service when dealing with clients and delivery points.
• Communicate effectively with transport managers and warehouse teams.
