Job summary

The Best Connection based in Hatfield is seeking HGV Class 2 drivers for AM and PM shifts at their depot. New pass drivers are welcome and will join a team delivering a range of refrigerated and ambient foods across the UK.

Role involves delivering caged goods, performing load and vehicle checks, and completing delivery paperwork. Shifts vary with early starts and late starts, offering regular patterns and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold HGV Class 2 licence (new pass drivers accepted).
• Delivery of caged goods to stores or distribution centres.
• Conduct vehicle and trailer checks.
• Complete delivery paperwork for client/stores.

Job description

Our client based in Hatfield who is a leading manufacturer of convenience foods. Supplier of a wide range of chilled, frozen and ambient foods to some of the most successful retail and food service customers in the UK. They are looking to recruit Class 2 drivers to work out of theirdepot in Hatfield on AM and PM shifts. New pass drivers accepted.

HGV Class 2 Driver Main duties will include:

• Deliveryof caged goods to Stores or Distribution Centres
• Making sure your load is safe and all vehicle and trailer checks are completed
• Completionofall delivery paperwork from client to store
• Between 1-4 drops per day depending on location

HGV Class 2 Driver Shifts:

• Various AM shifts start times between 04:00am and 08:00am
• Various PM shifts start times between 17:00pm and 20:00pm
• Shift patterns - Sunday to Thursday orWednesday to Saturday

HGV Class 2 Driver Pay Rates:

• Monday to Saturday 06:00 - 22:00 - PAYE Pay Rate 21.70per hour
• SUNDAY 06:00 - 22:00 - £22.85 PER HOUR
• NIGHTS 22:00 - 06:00 MONDAY TO SUNDAY £22.85
• Overtime after 42 hours on AM shift - £27.13 per hour
• Overtime after 42 hours on PM shift - £28.56 per hour
