Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced Class 2 Skip Driver for a temporary-to-permanent role in Ascot. You will handle deliveries and collections of skips, perform daily vehicle checks, and maintain a high standard of customer service.

Be prepared for shift patterns Mon-Fri 06:45-16:45 with some Saturday mornings. Paid weekly with overtime enhanced rates and ongoing support from The Best Connection.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 2 Licence (category C).
• Hold a valid CPC and Tacho card.
• Customer service experience.
• Good communication and a can-do attitude.
• Reliable and flexible for overtime.

Job description

The Best Connection Reading is currently seeking a Class 2 Skip Driver to work for a well-established company in the Waste Management industry. Based in Ascot.

This role is a temporary to permanent role, meaning after 12 weeks you will be offered a permanent contract.

The role:

• Deliveries and collections of skips to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe to operate by conducting daily vehicle checks.
• To report any incidents or accidents.
• Driving in a safe manner.
• To complete any paperwork required correctly.
• To represent the company to customers, delivering a professional and friendly service.

Hours and pay:

• Monday to Friday, 06:45 - 16:45 (45 hours per week)
• Saturday work, every other week (morning shift)
• £16.64 per hour (PAYE), £24.96 per hour after 9 hours a day & Saturdays.

Requirements:

• Hold a valid Class 2 Licence (category C).
• Hold a valid CPC and Tacho card.
• Customer service.
• Good communication and a can-do attitude!
• Reliable and flexible for overtime.
• Previous experience working in the waste industry (preferred but not required).
