Job summary

CityJobs.com is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver in Dukinfield for a full-time role delivering high-end furniture and related goods across the UK. You will operate in a two-person team, follow planned routes and maintain a professional appearance while ensuring careful handling of all items.

The ideal candidate will be CPC qualified, possess excellent literacy and communication skills for paperwork and customer contact, and be physically fit for manual handling.

Qualifications

• Must be CPC qualified.
• Excellent literacy and communication skills for paperwork and customer contact.
• Previous experience handling high-end quality goods is preferred.
• Physically fit due to manual handling requirements.
• Confident in strapping and securing obscure loads, i.e. loose kitchen units, canteen lockers, appliances, etc.
• Flexible with availability, night-outs and varying start and finish times.
• Overnight stays are required as vehicles can be scheduled on 2–3-day runs. Overnight allowances are paid upfront to cover costs.
