Job summary

Driver Hire Leeds West is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to work with a wide range of customers across Leeds and the surrounding area. We have regular assignments with builders' merchants, general haulage companies, manufacturers and multi-drop delivery businesses, offering a variety of work to suit your experience and preferences.

Whether you're looking for full-time hours, part-time work or occasional shifts around other commitments, we have flexible opportunities available

Qualifications

• A valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence and a current Driver CPC qualification.
• A Digital Tachograph Card is required.
• At least 12 months' HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no DR/DD/T99 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Builders' merchant deliveries.
• Multi-drop deliveries.
• General haulage and local/regional routes.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Deliver excellent customer service at sites.

Job description

Driver Hire Leeds West is recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to work with a wide range of established customers across Leeds and the surrounding area. We have regular assignments with builders' merchants, general haulage companies, manufacturers and multi-drop delivery businesses, offering a variety of work to suit your experience and preferences. Whether you're looking for full-time hours, part-time work or occasional shifts around other commitments, we have flexible opportunities available throughout the week.

Pay Rates

• £14.40 per hour – PAYE with accrued holiday pay - £17.20 Overtime
• £16.14 per hour – PAYE Advanced (holiday pay included in your hourly rate) - £19.28 Overtime

Drivers with HIAB or Moffett qualifications are encouraged to apply, as many of our customers require these skills and we regularly offer higher rates of pay for HIAB and Moffett assignments.

Your duties may include:

• Builders' merchant deliveries
• Multi-drop deliveries
• General haulage

• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Delivering excellent customer service at customer sites

• A valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence

• No DR, DD or T99 endorsements
• Safety boots and hi-vis clothing
• A professional, reliable approach with good communication skills
