Job summary

Driver Hire Leeds West is looking for Class 2 HIAB drivers for ad hoc work with customers in the Leeds West area. Most bookings are with builders' merchants and timber companies, and brick grab experience is especially welcome.

Shifts are typically days, starting around 7 am, with flexibility as start times depend on the customer. Some bookings may lead to temp-to-perm opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Current HIAB qualification (ALLMI or accredited equivalent).
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• No DD, DR, IN or TT codes on your driving licence.
• At least 1 year experience driving Class 2 vehicles and operating HIAB.

Responsibilities

• Ad hoc driving bookings for builders' merchants and timber companies.
• Operate HIAB equipment and ensure safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain safety and compliance on site and on road.

Job description

Driver Hire Leeds West is looking for Class 2 HIAB drivers for ad hoc work with customers in the Leeds West area.

Most of the work is with builders' merchants and timber companies, but no two bookings are necessarily the same. We're particularly keen to hear from drivers with brick grab experience.

Most shifts are days, usually starting around 7 am. We do need drivers who can be flexible, as start times and the amount of work available will depend on the customer. Some bookings could lead to temp-to-perm opportunities.

• Pay ratesDays: £17.00 per hour with holiday accrued, or £19.05 per hour with holiday pay includedOvertime: £19.20 per hour with holiday accrued, or £21.48 per hour with holiday pay includedHigher rates for evening and night work

Overtime generally starts after eight hours, although this can vary by customer. We'll confirm the rate for each booking before you accept it.

You'll need:

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
