Job summary

Jewson Colne, part of STARK Building Materials UK, is hiring an HGV Class 2 Driver. You will safely deliver building materials to customers, load and unload, and operate a crane where needed, with HIAB training provided.

We offer social hours 07:00–16:30, an induction at our training academy, 34 days’ holiday, a pension, life assurance, staff discounts and benefits, CPC training, and clear career progression opportunities. Multidrop experience is welcomed but not required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required.
• CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card required.
• Multidrop experience is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building materials to customers in a safe, professional manner.
• Load and unload goods and operate the crane as required.
• Support team members and maintain a high standard of customer service.

What to expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
