Job summary

Simply Jobsworth is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C) to join a busy distribution team in Cheltenham. The role offers full training, ongoing support, and clear career progression within a friendly team environment.

You'll deliver to retail and commercial customers across the region, perform vehicle checks, and maintain high standards of safety and service. Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply, with nights and weekend work available.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Category C (Class 2) entitlement.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Physically fit as manual handling is required.
• Flexible to work weekends, bank holidays and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-drop deliveries using a Class 2 vehicle.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Load and unload products safely with manual handling.
• Ensure deliveries are accurate and completed on schedule.
• Follow driving, tachograph, health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Support the wider transport team when required.

Job description

We're looking for a reliable and motivated HGV Class 2 Driver (Category C) to join a busy distribution team based in Cheltenham.

Whether you're an experienced Class 2 driver or have recently passed your test, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team with full training and genuine career progression.

Hours

• 48 hours per week (average roster)
• 5 shifts per week
• Night shifts with start times typically between 11:00pm and 2:00am

The Role

You'll be delivering products to retail and commercial customers across the region, ensuring every delivery is completed safely, accurately and on time while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-drop deliveries using a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Load and unload products safely, including manual handling.
• Ensure deliveries are accurate and completed on schedule.
• Follow all driving, tachograph, Health & Safety and food hygiene regulations.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Support the wider transport team when required.

What We're Looking For

• Full UK Driving Licence with Category C (Class 2) entitlement.
