Job summary

Booker is seeking a delivery driver to join our local team in Bradford. You'll drive locally, build strong relationships with regular customers, and help keep shelves stocked with the products they need.

The role requires a Cat C / 18T licence and at least two years' driving experience. You will work an Any 5 from 7 pattern, with weekend shifts, and benefit from a comprehensive package of employee discounts and pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Cat C / 18T Licence required.
• At least two years' driving experience.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Good literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Load stock into the vehicle at the branch and unload at customer premises.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
• Deliver to customers and maintain on-time service with a positive attitude.
• Work on an Any 5 from 7 shift pattern, including some weekends.

About the role

The working pattern is Monday to Friday

Do you want more local driving and be a valued member of a delivery team? This may be the role for you. Working 45 hours per week you will enjoy a varied role driving locally as well as building relationships with our regular customers.

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You'll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You'll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat C / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
