Job summary

Driver Hire Birmingham East is recruiting HGV Class 2 drivers for varied shifts across Birmingham and surrounding areas. Earn £16.40 per hour with regular overtime and weekly PAYE payments.

Roles include permanent, contract, or temporary opportunities, with weekday and weekend work available on request. You will ensure loads are secured, follow safety rules, complete required paperwork, and stay in close contact with branch managers to update progress.

Qualifications

• No more than 6 points (No DD’s, DR’s, IN’s, TT’s)
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Full UK Driving licence, held for 1 year
• Cat-C Licence (HGV Class 2)
• Weekly pay paid PAYE by BACS Transfer
• Full employee benefits entitlement
• Company pension

Responsibilities

• Maintaining regular contact with Transport/Branch Managers on daily progress
• Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits
• Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
• Completing paperwork accurately as instructed

Job description

Every week, Driver Hire Birmingham East find consistent but flexible work for hundreds of drivers, across a variety of industries, ranging from general haulage, timber, pallet delivery and bakery products. We don’t require anyone to give up their weekends as work is Monday to Friday if requested. However, some weekends are available for those who want them.

Salary: £16.40 per hour
Location: East of Birmingham
Work Pattern: Full time, contract, temporary, or part-time to suit

We are therefore currently seeking several HGV Class 2 Drivers for various roles and contract terms (to suit you) in and around Birmingham – roles commutable for drivers inBickenhill, Marston Green, Shirley, Solihull, and Tyseley.

HGV Class 2 Driver responsibilities:

• Maintaining regular contact with Transport/Branch Managers on daily progress
