HGV Class 2 Driver Home Delivery

Location: Barton Upon Humber

Salary: £16.00 per hour / £39,936 per annum based on 48 hours/week. Temp to perm position. Newly qualified drivers accepted.

Additional Compensation: Up to £750 quarterly bonus. Overtime paid on a 6th shift only.

Bonus Conditions: Bonus may be reduced due to attendance, accidents, scanning, health and safety compliance, or early/late deliveries.

Job Responsibilities

• Home delivery of kitchens (physically demanding).
• Working as part of a 2-man crew.
• Making customer phone calls with ETAs and recording deliveries.
• Deliveries must be within the scheduled time window.
• Deliveries to the customer's room of choice.
• All products must be scanned.
• Reporting parking issues to support or transport office; records protect against tickets.
• Vehicle security includes 7 cameras (5 around, 2 at the back); work accordingly.
• Vehicles are loaded overnight; unloading occurs at delivery points.
• Good timekeeping is essential.

Working Hours

Start times between 4am and 6am (must have own transport). Shifts can be up to 12 hours, averaging a 48-hour week. Flexibility required for working days and business needs.

Working days are Monday to Friday, but the contract allows any 5 days out of 7. Flexibility is needed during peak times to cover business needs. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
