Job summary

Workchain Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Driver for a temporary/ongoing role in Alfreton. Immediate start available with regular, ongoing work and local/regional deliveries.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 / Cat C licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. You will perform daily safety checks, maintain loads safely and complete delivery paperwork efficiently.

Responsibilities

Workchain Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join our client based in Alfreton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for regular, ongoing work, with immediate starts available.

The Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to customers and delivery locations.

Your duties will include:

• Driving an HGV Class 2 / Category C vehicle


• Completing local and regional deliveries


• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks


• Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely


• Completing delivery paperwork and relevant documentation


• Following planned routes and delivery schedules


• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time


• Liaising professionally with customers and delivery sites


• Reporting any vehicle defects or issues


• Following all relevant road safety, company and transport regulations


• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times

Requirements

The successful candidate will need:

• A valid HGV Class 2 / Cat C licence


• A valid Driver CPC


• A valid Digital Tachograph Card


• Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience is preferred


• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations


• A strong understanding of road safety requirements


• Good communication and customer service skills


• A reliable and punctual approach to work


• The ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules


• A professional attitude when representing the company
