The Best Connection are currently recruiting for Class 1 (HGV) drivers with our global logistics and supply chain company that operates both freight management and contract logistics. This is an temp to perm opportunity with excellent earning potential and long-term prospects.

Ongoing work through 2026 with a structured shift pattern. Perks include CPC training, online payslips, overtime opportunities, contributory pension, and optional personal accident insurance.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence required.
• Commitment to shifts/rotas.
• Ability to work safely alone or with a team.
• Time management and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operate Curtainsider trailers on Class 1 routes.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Perform vehicle checks and ensure loads are secure.
• Handle 3-5 drops with timed deliveries.

£18.00 per hour | £20.00 OT after 45 hours

About the Role

Class 1 (C+E) - Main duties and requirements are:

• Curtainsider trailers
• 3-5 drops with timed deliveries
• Pre loaded vehicles

Ensuring your load is safe and secure

Completion of delivery paperwork

Maximum 6 points accepted ( No DD/ DR offences)

Vehicle checks

Working Hours

• 17:00pm - 19:00pm starts
• Mon - Fri shifts

Pay

£18.00 per hour

£20.00 per hour overtime

(after 45 hours)
