Job summary

Solvit Recruitment is seeking HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers to operate a refuse collection vehicle for the local authority. Start times from 07:00, with 37 hours weekly over five days.

Inductions on Aug 4–5. Ongoing role with weekly pay, pension, and secure onsite parking. Applicants should have at least 1 year HGV Class 2 experience and be able to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Job description

Solvit Recruitment are currently looking for a HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers.

This role is on-going.

Inductions Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th of August.

No handball or Multi-drop.

We are working with a local authority who are looking for HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers; you will drive a refuse collection vehicle supplied by the Authority to carry out designated duties. These duties are to ensure that all waste streams (including Trade Waste) are collected.

We will require your CV for this position.

Hours of work will be over 5 days Monday to Friday, 4 out of 5 days.

Based on 37 hours per week.

You will be given a driving assessment followed by an interview, and then you will be given your shift rota.

Start times from 07:00, however weather conditions you may start at 06:00.

Rate of Pay, £14.82 per hour and Rolled up £16.61 per hour.

Requirements.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Understand Health & Safety.

• Comply with all Site Safety Instructions relating to all landfill sites, waste transfer stations and recycling merchant sites.

• Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication oral and written.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
• HGV Class 2 experience, minimum 1 year.
• No DR, DD, TT, IN and not served any bans in the last 5 years.
• Work reference from a recent employer.
