Job summary

Backline Plymouth is seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV driver for Buckfastleigh, Devon. This full-time role involves operating Class 1 vehicles, loading/unloading with pallet trucks, and delivering to client sites on a rota including weekends.

You'll typically work 48 hours per week with 5-6 days per week and around 3 nights out per week. Immediate starts available, with ongoing driver training and development offered by Backline.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 / C+E licence required.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Minimum 1 year experience driving Class 1.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Good knowledge of UK roads and driving regulations.
• Reliable and professional approach.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 articulated vehicles.
• Load and unload using pallet trucks and counterbalance forklifts (training provided).
• Complete deliveries and collections as required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks.
• Complete all required paperwork and delivery documentation.
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely.
• Provide a professional level of customer service.
• Work safely and in accordance with all procedures.

Class 1 HGV Driver Buckfastleigh

Pay: £ per hour
Hours: 48 hours minimum per week.
Shifts: 5-6 days per week on a rota including weekends, you will average 3 nights out per week.

The Role

Backline Logistics are currently recruiting for Class 1 HGV Tramper Drivers to work with one of our established clients in Buckfastleigh, Devon.

This is a full time, temporary to permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 articulated vehicles.
• You will be required to load and unload yourself using pallet trucks and counterbalance forklifts (full training will be provided).
• Complete deliveries and collections as required
• Carry out daily vehicle checks
• Complete all required paperwork and delivery documentation
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely
• Provide a professional level of customer service
• Work safely and in accordance with all company and site procedures

What Were Looking For

• Valid Class 1 / Category C+E licence
