Job summary

Drivers Today in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) night drivers for regular, ongoing work with weekly pay. Expect Monday to Friday night shifts, trunking and general haulage across depot-to-depot routes, with curtain-sided trailers and long-term assignments.

You will carry out night trunking and general haulage duties, complete delivery paperwork, conduct daily safety checks, and follow drivers hours/tachograph rules.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence and Driver CPC required.
• Digital Tachograph Card and valid CPC required.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience essential.
• Experience in trunking or general haulage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive articulated HGV Class 1 vehicles for night trunking and general haulage.
• Depot-to-depot and RDC trunking.
• Trailer collections and deliveries on curtain-sided trailers.
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers and completing delivery paperwork.
• Daily vehicle and trailer safety checks and adherence to drivers hours/tachograph rules.

The Job
