The Best Connection is recruiting an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver for our Stoke-on-Trent general haulage operation. You will carry palletised freight across the UK, representing our client professionally while delivering to customers nationwide.

This Monday-Friday role offers 50 hours guaranteed per week with some nights out required. Overtime opportunities are available for drivers seeking additional hours.

Formación

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• General haulage experience desirable.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.

Responsabilidades

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle across the UK.
• Deliver palletised freight to customers nationwide.
• Carry out general haulage work safely and efficiently.
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure loads are secure.
• Complete delivery and transport paperwork.
• Provide professional customer service.
• Communicate with the transport team regarding deliveries and job changes.
• Complete nights out when required.

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

Working Hours: Monday-Friday

Guaranteed Hours: 50 hours per week

Night-Out Allowance: £30 per night out

Overtime: Available

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our client's general haulage operation based in Stoke-on-Trent.

You’ll be responsible for carrying palletised freight across the UK, representing our client professionally while delivering to customers nationwide.

This is a Monday-Friday role with 50 hours guaranteed, with some nights out required. There are also opportunities for overtime for drivers who want additional hours.

You’ll have the independence to manage your working day while being supported by an experienced transport team whenever you need assistance.
