Job summary

TLP Recruitment is recruiting professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to join one of the world’s largest parcel and logistics networks, based in Southampton. This night-shift role offers regular full-time or part-time work with premium rates and strong planning support from a seasoned transport team.

You’ll drive a modern Class 1 fleet, perform trunking between hubs, and enjoy consistent schedules with a focus on safety, reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Class 1 (C+E) Licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• Professional attitude and commitment to safe, compliant driving are essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 1 driving across a nationwide distribution network.
• Transport freight safely and efficiently between logistics hubs.
• Work with modern tractor units and box trailers as part of a professional transport operation.
• Trunking across the client hub network; no customer deliveries.

• Basic rate of £21.73ph
• Overtime rate of £25.33ph (after 8 hours)
• Premium bonus rate of £30.39ph for a sixth shift (in one working week)
• Shifts typically range 9-12 hours (dependent on run etc)
• Minimum 8 hours' pay per shift
• Trunking across the client hub network
• Modern Class 1 fleet
• No handball
• Monday-Friday with weekend work available

The Role

You'll be carrying out Class 1 driving across a nationwide distribution network, transporting freight safely and efficiently between logistics hubs.

Working with modern tractor units and box trailers, you'll become part of a professional transport operation that values safety, reliability and teamwork.

What You Can Expect

Most shifts typically last between 9 and 12 hours, providing excellent weekly earning potential while still giving you the reassurance of a minimum of 8 hours' pay on every shift.

As you become established, you'll also have the opportunity to receive training on specialist wagon & drag combinations, allowing you to broaden your skills and increase your versatility across the wider operation.
