Job summary

Driver Hire Dundee is seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) night drivers for ongoing trunking work from Dundee. Shifts typically start in the evening or night with routes toward Aberdeen, Peterhead or the Central Belt.

We offer a PAYE position with hours guaranteed, and opportunities for regular weekly work as the demand increases toward the festive peak period.

Qualifications

• Class 1 (C+E) licence held for a minimum of 12 months.
• Full UK driving entitlement and CPC/Digital Tachograph valid.
• Night trunking experience is preferred.
• Safe driving and compliance with tachograph rules.

Class 1 Night Trunk Drivers - Dundee

Driver Hire Dundee & Perth are recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers for one of our long-term clients.

If you prefer night work, straightforward trunking and knowing where you're heading before you start your shift, this could be a good fit.

The work is mainly evening/night trunk runs from Dundee, with routes typically heading towards Aberdeen, Peterhead or into the Central Belt of Scotland.

This is an ongoing position with a long-term client, so we're looking for drivers who want regular work. Shifts are provided every week and the requirement is expected to increase as we head towards the busy festive peak period.

The job:

• Class 1 (C+E) night trunking


• Evening/night starts


• Routes mainly to Aberdeen, Peterhead and the Central Belt


• Minimum 8-hour shift guaranteed


• Shifts can run up to around 12 hours


• Regular weekly work


• Long-term opportunity


• Increased hours expected as we approach the festive peak


• PAYE position

Pay:

• £16.00 per hour PAYE


• £17.93 per hour including advanced holiday pay

What we need from you:

• Must be over 21


• Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence held for a minimum of 12 months


• Minimum 60 days Class 1 driving experience within the last 6 months


• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph


• Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations


• Reliable and professional approach


• Night driving experience would be an advantage
