Job summary

JT Recruit Ltd is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for ongoing work with a major distribution operator in the Burton-upon-Trent region. The role covers days, nights and weekends with flexible shift patterns and immediate starts available.

You will perform trunking, schedule management, and daily vehicle checks, keeping tachograph records up to date. Valid UK licence, CPC, tachograph card and knowledge of EU hours rules are essential, plus a reliable, professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Up-to-date Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong understanding of EU Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude behind the wheel.

Responsibilities

• High-volume trunking and distribution work.
• Managing planned delivery schedules efficiently and safely.
• Performing standard daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintaining accurate digital tachograph records and POD documentation.

HGV Class 1 Drivers (LTD)

Location: Burton-upon-Trent area

Position: Ongoing / Flexible Shift Patterns (Days, Nights & Weekends)

Pay Rates (LTD):

• Days: £19.50 / hr

• Nights: £21.50 / hr

• Saturday: £22.50 / hr

• Sunday: £24.50 / hr

About the Role

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing work with a major distribution operator based in the Burton-upon-Trent region.

This operation runs 7 days a week across both day and night shifts, offering genuine flexibility whether you are looking for full-time shift rotas, specific fixed shifts, or weekend-only work.

Duties include:

• High-volume trunking and distribution work

• Managing planned delivery schedules efficiently and safely

• Performing standard daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

Key Requirements
