Job summary

Pertemps Bond is looking for HGV 1 / LGV 1 / C+E drivers to operate from Stoke-on-Trent. You will deliver timber products across the UK, perform load checks and maintain safety standards while providing excellent service.

Shifts include day and night patterns with early starts; immediate assessment slots and parity pay rates. This is a stable, ongoing opportunity with a well‑established client.

Qualifications

• CE entitlement required.
• Digi Card and CPC required.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Held Class 1 licence for 2 years.
• No more than 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timber products to customers across the UK.
• Strap and secure loads using correct health and safety procedures.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with transport regulations.
• Drive Class 1 curtain-sided vehicles.
• Complete deliveries efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.

Our prestigious client is currently looking for HGV 1 / LGV 1 / C+E / Class 1 Drivers to work at their site in Stoke on Trent. You will be responsible for:

• Delivering timber products to customers across the UK
• Strapping and securing the load using correct health and safety procedures.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport regulations
• Driving Class 1 curtain-sided vehicles
• Completing deliveries efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service

To be considered for this HGV 1 / LGV 1 / C+E / Class 1 Drivers role you will need:

• CE Entitlement
• Digi Card & CPC
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Held Class 1 licence for 2 years
• No more than 6 points

Details for HGV 1 / LGV 1 / C+E / Class 1 Drivers:

• Immediate Assessment Slots available with on-going work.
• Parity Pay rates for HGV Drivers /LGV Drivers /C+E Drivers /Class 1 Driver:
• Day Driver shifts are Monday – Friday, with start times between 0400 – 0600
• Night Driver shifts are Sunday – Thursday, with start times between 1600 - 1800
