Job description

HGV Class 1 Driver - Temporary, Hemel Hempstead

Pure Staff is recruiting for a HGV Class 1 driver to perform wag and drag work in Hemel Hempstead on a temp-perm basis.

Pay Rates:

• £17 per hour from Monday to Thursday
• £25.50 per hour after 50 hours

Note: Candidates of Pure Staff do not pay weekly umbrella margins or payroll processing fees.

Job Responsibilities:

Deliveries involve wagon and drag work from the main distribution centre to other depots within the network. Effective communication with the transport team is essential to ensure timely deliveries and collections, including stop call wait procedures to maximize productivity and inform drivers of delays or route changes.

Shift Details:

• Start times between 16:00 and 19:00
• Pattern: Sunday to Thursday each week

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months wagon and drag experience
• Valid CPC Card
• Digital tachograph card
• Clean license with no more than 6 points (no TT, MS, DR, DD codes)
