Class 1 Driver Role - Chelmsford Area

We are working with a national client, a leader in parcel delivery, to find multiple Class 1 Drivers to join their team in the Chelmsford area. As an HGV Driver, after successfully completing an assessment, you will trunk parcels and mail between depots across the Royal Mail Network. There is minimal manual work involved, and shifts are offered one week in advance. We offer competitive pay rates and a variety of start times and days to suit your schedule.

Key Requirements:

• Held Class 1 license for a minimum of 2 years
• Have worked at least 180 driving days in the last 2 years
• No more than 3 penalty points
• Valid CPC and Tacho
• No driving infringements

The Role:

• Trunking to depots nationwide
• Average 9-10 hours per shift

Shifts will be scheduled throughout the day, including early mornings and night shifts. We guarantee a minimum of 7.5 hours per shift, with most shifts lasting between 9 to 10 hours.

We offer attractive pay rates between £19.98 and £20.53 per hour.

This is ongoing temporary work.

You will undergo a 4-hour driving assessment, during which your infringements will be checked. A thorough vetting process, including a DBS check, is also required for this role.
