Job summary

LothianDAF, based in Loanhead, is seeking a Workshop Labourer/Driver to join their busy team. The role covers workshop upkeep, yard housekeeping and safe compliance with environmental and health & safety standards.

You will operate a forklift when needed and undertake driving duties requiring a valid HGV Class 1 licence. Candidates should be proactive, team oriented, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence.
• Forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Demonstrates a safety‑conscious approach to work.
• Works well in a fast‑paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep the workshop clean, tidy and well‑maintained.
• Housekeeping of yard areas to ensure access and safety.
• Dispose of waste in line with Environmental Policy.
• Prioritise safety by following health and safety regulations.
• Operate a forklift for material handling where required (licence advantageous).
• Carry out driving duties as needed with HGV Class 1 licence.
• Assist with other general workshop tasks as required.
