Job summary

Explore is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. Join a safety-focused operator with a 50-55 hour week on a Monday–Friday tramping pattern, using GPS to meet delivery deadlines and maintain high road-safety standards.

Permanent full-time role with ongoing CPC training, career progression and benefits including paid breaks and meal/night-out allowances. You will operate a Scania truck with C+E entitlement, CPC and tacho card required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid tacho card
• Ability to read and interpret maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Good communication skills and ability to understand movement orders
• Desirable: Flatbed experience
• Desirable: Construction logistics knowledge or experience

Responsibilities

• Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate the vehicle in line with traffic laws, road regulations and road-safety standards
• Load Security: Load and unload securely and efficiently, applying appropriate securing techniques
• Route Navigation: Read and interpret maps and use GPS navigation systems effectively to support timely deliveries
• Delivery Planning: Organise journeys and time effectively to meet delivery deadlines
• Communication: Understand movement orders and liaise clearly with colleagues and customers
