Job summary

Meacher’s, a forward-thinking haulage business, invites applications for a full-time HGV Class 1 Tramper driver based at the Derby depot. You will join a busy operation with driving assessments and a path to join our transport team.

Applicants must hold a British license with CPC and Digi card, have no more than 6 points, be fluent in English, and be prepared for nights out (£30 per night). 48 hours per week guaranteed. No visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a fluency in English will be required.
• You must hold a British driving license, a valid CPC and Digi card.

Responsibilities

• Meet the transport manager at the Derby depot if selected.
• Take part in a driving assessment.
• Drive as a full-time HGV Class 1 Tramper within the operation.

HGV Drivers Wanted – General Haulage Class 1 (Tramper)

Nights Out Premium £30.00 (per night worked)

Full Time HGV Drivers.

We are a forward-thinking haulage business with an opportunity for a class 1 Tramper driver to work as a full-time employee with are haulage operation team.

We are located in Derby so please call us for further information as this is a fantastic opportunity to work for a major Haulage company. Meacher’s is one of the leading independent logistics providers of international freight and transport services in the UK.

Your application is important to us and if selected will arrange for you to meet the transport manager at the Derby depot and you will be invited to take a driving assessment.

Whether you are a relatively new driver or you are a long-standing experienced driver, as long as you have the relevant skills and licences all drivers are welcome to apply for this role.

Excellent communication skills and a fluency in English will be required as you will be in constant communication with our client’s customers and also other members of internal teams. It is essential you have the ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism at all times both internally and externally.

You must hold a British driving license, a valid CPC and Digi card and have no more than 6 points on your license with no previous DR or DD endorsements.

Hours of Work:

48 hours Guaranteed
