Job summary

Driving Force - Newport is recruiting an HGV 1 Driver for deliveries to stores from Avonmouth and Chepstow. Roles can be part-time or full-time with shifts booked in advance. All breaks are paid, and overtime rates apply after 45 hours.

The ideal candidate holds an HGV 1 (C+E) licence with a valid digital tachograph and DQC card, has at least 6 months of driving experience, and clean licence with no more than 6 points. Training assessments may be required.

Qualifications

• HGV 1 C&E licence, Digital tachograph and DQC card required.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence; ability to pass theory and practical driving assessment.

Responsibilities

• Complete 1–4 deliveries to stores as required.
• Deliveries may be cages or palletised.
• Complete necessary paperwork.

HGV 1 Driver

Location: Avonmouth & Chepstow

Driving Force are proud to be working in partnership with our Client at their Supermarket distribution depots in Avonmouth and Chepstow.

We are looking for reliable and flexible drivers who can work out of either depot if required. Both part time and full time shifts available.

Shifts available:

• PART TIME / FULL TIME work available with shifts booked in advance

All breaks are paid!!

Pay between 22.00 - 06.00

• Basic £22.45
• Overtime £6.92per hour extra after 45 hours

Pay between 14.00 - 22.00

• Basic £20.30
• Overtime £6.92per hour extra after 45 hours

Pay between 06.00 - 14.00

• Basic £17.96
• Overtime £6.92per hour extra after 45 hours

All Bank Holiday hours are paid at double time.

Your responsibilities as a Class 1 Driver:

• Duties include completing 1-4 deliveries to stores as required.
• Deliveries can be either caged or palletised.
• Completing paperwork.

Class 1 Driver - About you:

• HGV 1 C+E licence, Digital tacho & DQC card
• Minimum 6 months experience
• No more than 6 points. No DR, DD, CD, IN10's
• Be able to pass a theory and practical driving assessment

HGV 1 Drivers may also be expected to complete some deliveries to smaller stores in a HGV 2 vehicles.
