Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for an HGV Class 1 Driver in Coventry for temporary/ongoing work. You will shuttle mail between depots, follow planned routes, and select from morning, evening, or weekend shifts. Vehicle safety checks are performed before each shift.

Expect a pay range of £21.44–£24.57 per hour with weekly PAYE wages, holiday pay, and pension. On-site parking and canteen facilities are available at most depots, with ongoing support from the Pertemps team.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence held for at least 12 months.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• At least 180 days of Class 1 driving experience within the last year.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to pass DBS and vetting checks.
• Driving licence showing your current address.

Responsibilities

• Transport mail between Royal Mail depots.
• Follow planned routes with minimal loading or unloading.
• Choose from morning, evening and weekend shifts.
• Complete vehicle safety checks before each shift.
