Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring an HGV Class 1 Driver for depot-to-depot duties in the London area. You will drive on established routes, perform pre-shift safety checks and select from morning, evening, or weekend shifts.

The role offers reliable shifts with a national employer and pays weekly under PAYE. Requirements include a valid HGV Class 1 licence (12+ months), CPC and Tachograph card, DBS/vetting clearance and up to 6 penalty points.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence held for at least 12 months.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• At least 180 days of Class 1 driving experience within the last year.
• No more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to pass DBS and vetting checks.

Responsibilities

• Transport mail between Royal Mail depots.
• Follow planned routes with minimal loading or unloading.
• Choose from morning, evening and weekend shifts.
• Complete vehicle safety checks before each shift.
