Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence and CPC card are required.
• Digital tachograph knowledge and tachograph regulations understanding.

Responsibilities

• Transport fresh produce and food products safely and timely.
• Drive HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles.
• Deliveries and collections from farms, packhouses, and depots.
• RDC/NDC deliveries and refrigerated transport when needed.
• Complete daily vehicle and trailer safety checks and secure loads.
• Couple/uncouple trailers and check fifth wheel before departure.
• Accurate delivery paperwork and reporting defects.
• Adhere to Drivers' Hours and Tachograph regulations.

Millison Chase is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers in Evesham, Worcestershire for ongoing work within the fresh produce and food distribution sector.

We have days, nights and weekend shifts available, with competitive hourly rates and weekly PAYE pay.

HGV Class 1 Driver Pay Rates

• Days £17.00 per hour
• Nights £18.00 per hour
• Weekends up to £20.00 per hour

Weekly pay via PAYE.

No umbrella companies drivers are paid directly through Millison Chase's PAYE payroll.

The HGV Class 1 Fresh Produce Role

As an HGV Class 1 Fresh Produce Distribution Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of fresh produce and food products.

Depending on the assignment, duties may include:

• Fresh produce and food distribution.
• Driving HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles.
• Deliveries and collections from farms, packhouses, distribution centres and depots.
• RDC and NDC deliveries.
• Refrigerated and temperature-controlled transport where required.
• Completing daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
• Correctly coupling and uncoupling trailers.
• Checking the fifth wheel is correctly locked before departure.
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
• Reporting vehicle and trailer defects.
• Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely.
• Following Drivers' Hours, Tachograph and Working Time regulations.
• Maintaining high professional standards when representing Millison Chase and our clients.

Skills & Licence Requirements
