Job summary

Berry Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established supermarket chain for experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to join an ongoing contract. Immediate starts are available with regular shifts and competitive pay rates for day and night work across a nationwide operation.

Shifts operate on a 5 on / 3 off pattern with start times at 04:00, 10:00, 18:00 or 23:00. Bank holidays are paid at time and a half, and new drivers with the right licence and insurance are welcome.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good geographical knowledge and the ability to use maps/navigation.
• No more than minor penalty points on licence per insurance requirements.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 on a 5 on / 3 off rota.
• Maintain safe driving practices and compliance with transport regulations.
• Support a nationwide operation with regular and consistent shifts.
• Deliver to designated routes with punctuality and professionalism.
