Job summary

Berry Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a national client for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join an ongoing contract with immediate starts available. The client operates a busy nationwide operation with day and night shifts.

You will operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, complete daily duties on routes, deliver to customers, and maintain compliance with driver hours, tachograph rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence is required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• Good geographical knowledge and ability to use maps/navigation.
• No more than minor penalty points in line with insurer requirements.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with the public.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicle and complete daily duties on assigned routes.
• Deliver to customers and high-profile clients and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain compliance with driver hours and tachograph rules; adhere to road safety and company policies.
• Use maps/navigation to plan routes; ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
