Culina is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join our Cannock site for general haulage work, delivering to distribution centres and stores. We’re flexible on shift patterns, including nights, with competitive hourly rates and meal allowances.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid C+E licence, up to 6 points, and a DCPC/Tachograph card, with a focus on safety, reliable delivery, and customer service. Training and development are supported throughout the career at Culina.

Qualifikationen

• Hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tachograph cards.
• Understand and comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.

Job Description

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our Cannock site to support our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis and we have a variety of shift patterns including Nights (between 20:00 - 23:00 starts). Ideal shift patterns are below:

• Tuesday to Saturday
• Sunday to Thursday
• Friday to Tuesday
• Saturday to Wednesday

We offer flexibility in shift patterns, so if these start dates and times don't quite suit your availability, let us know what you're looking for, we'll do our best to accommodate your preferences.

Pay Rates:

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £14.60 to £18.41 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Mon-Fri Night Shift - £15.80 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Night Shift - £18.10 per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.41 per hour.

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance, and £25 per night out tax-free allowance (if applicable)

Driver Responsibilities:

• General Haulage with Curtainside trailers, to Distribution Centres and Stores
• Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.

Qualifications

• You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers)
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
• Should comply on-site health and safety requirements.
